Bucket List 2013

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Tonight at dinner we created our family Bucket List for 2013. These are the things we want to accomplish in 2013, some as a family and some as individuals. As the year goes on, I hope to be able to publish pictures of us fulfilling our bucket list.

In no particular order:

1. Run (term used very loosely) a half-marathon (mom).
2. Run a race with mom (Evan).
3. Family football game (with extended family)
4. Go to Washington, D.C.
5. Play Laser Tag as a family
6. Go to Chuck E. Cheese
7. Take new family photos.
8. Have a pool party
9. Ride the Wild Eagle (Mom and Dad)
10. Eat at Golden Corral (with the chocolate fountain)
11. Snow skiing
12. Go parasailing at the beach
13. See a play
14. Go to a baseball game
15. Go to a hockey game
16. Go roller skating

I'm excited for all of these adventures. Obviously, some more than others (Golden Corral?!). One thing missing... Disney! Matthew wouldn't let me put it on the bucket list, but it is not totally ruled out. I don't think I can make it a year with no Disney. I guess we'll see how the year unfolds. I think this list is pretty do-able. Sure hope the weather cooperates for number 11, we've had that on our unofficial list for two winters now.

Whenever we actually complete an object I will link back to the list and I'm excited to see how many we do this year! Let the fun begin!

May 2013 be full of blessings for you and your family!

Happy Turkey Day!

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at Brian and Beth's, so that baby Avery could stay at home and not have to travel. We had a great time with family and great food. We have so much to be thankful for!

Visions of Sugarplums...

Chloe was all worn out from helping me decorate our tree. I sure did love decorating the tree with my sweet little princess in our brand new house this year!

What Exactly Happens in a Ballet Class?

The big mystery... what exactly goes on in those classes every Saturday? Well, once a year, we get to see!
It begins with a "Hello" song.

Then they pretend to be birds and flap their wings.

A little stretching.
A little Indian song.

Then, they go across the floor... skipping.

On your toes

Galloping

Next, it's time for a little tap. Shuffle, step.

And, finally, balancing with a Beanie Baby on your head.
Well, I don't know about you, but I'm impressed. Chloe loves dance! Her teachers are wonderful and I am so happy that she enjoys it.

Happy Halloween 2012

This was our first Halloween in our new house and the first Halloween in years and years and years not in our old neighborhood, Hidden Acres. But, we started new traditions. We made chili, Grandmother and Granddaddy came to our house, and we trick or treated with neighborhood friends. All in all it was a great Halloween! Even if Chloe refused to wear her awesome red, curly, "Brave" wig:)

Princess Dress Up at Ballet

At Halloween each year, Chloe's dance studio has a princess dress-up day for the youngest classes. Chloe chose to dress as Belle this year.

My graceful ballerina
Parents get to watch on princess dress-up day and the dancers do a special princess dance.

Getting sleepy... Sleeping Beauty's spell has been cast.

I love watching my little ballerina!
